Our story begins in 2005 with a small group of people who had a vision to reach the East Metro Atlanta area.
What began as a small church plant with 25 people who had crazy faith, by Gods grace has grown into a thriving gospel-centered, multi-ethnic, and multi-generational church that is reaching
Formerly known as Discover Point Church, we recently changed our name to Devoted Church to reflect our our mission and calling.

Our mission statement is based on the great commission Jesus gave to
“go and make disciples.”
A disciple is someone who is "fully devoted" to Him.
This is the reason that we exist as a church; to fulfill Jesus’ mission for
His name and glory.
Our Discipleship Pathway is how we accomplish the mission of making fully devoted followers of Jesus.
Jesus’ followers took the mission of making disciples seriously. Acts 2:38-47, shows for how they made disciples, that we seek to emulate as a church.
In Acts 2 we see the Apostle Peter preaching the “gospel” to the masses, commanding those who hear the message to repent of their sins and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ. This is the first step of discipleship which to become a follower of Jesus.
Scripture says that 3000 people were saved that day and they immediately began to start growing in their walk with Jesus through the Apostles teaching by gathering together in large group settings (temple) and in smaller group settings (houses) to learn from Gods Word. This is what God desires for every believer, that we grow deeper in our walk with Him.
Next we we see these followers of Jesus intentionally gathering in smaller groups to do life together. At Devoted Church we connect together with other believers in Connect Groups.
The last thing that we see in this story is that these disciples started impacting others around them because of the gospel. They gave generously, they cared for others, and were bold witnesses for Jesus. This is our desire as a church, which is to see believers impacting others with the gospel.
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three are co-equal and are one God.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead, and after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death, He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make man aware of their needs for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer one or more spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer for forgiveness, can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ the true believer is secure in that salvation is for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the bodily, personal, second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the Saints, the Millennium, and the final judgment. The final judgment will ultimately reveal the eternal status of both the saints and the unbelievers, determined by their relationship to Jesus Christ. We affirm with the Bible the final state of the New Heavens and New Earth.
God created the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. Accordingly, the pastors, staff and leaders will not participate in same sex unions or same sex marriages, nor shall its property or resources be used for such purposes.
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
